Fall Reading/Book List
I don't know about you all, but there is nothing I love more than a crisp gloomy day, cozy blankets/clothes & a book! I have read so many the past 2 years I thought I'd do a round up. I'll preface by saying I love personal development books the most and don't really love fiction - although, there are a few of multiple genres!

Harry Potter- My ultimate favorite ever! Especially the newer edition Jim Kaye illustrated editions because they're even more fun.
Girl Wash Your Face- I liked this, but I didn't LOVE it quite like others I've seen. I think it's really great for younger people or people who haven't read many similar books. It is a good read and great to gift for a new grad perhaps.
Present Over Perfect- This is honestly fairly similar to the above, but has a bit more religion involved. Personally, not my thing but overall still a good read.
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck- falls in similar line with the two above, but this one is the most my style honestly. Pending where you are in life and whether swear words offend you, I would say reading 1 of them is sufficient as they all drive the same point home.

52 Lists for Happiness - This was fun and I would settle into bed on Sundays and try to do it weekly as that is the point. It's quick, cute, uplifting and a good keepsake to reflect back on once the year has passed.
The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up- I f I could make everyone on the planet read this, I would. It is SO true that a cluttered life leads to a cluttered mind and I love everything to be neat, tidy and in it's place. She may be a bit extreme, but I still loved it.
Eat, Pray, Love- because of course! Another personal growth type book that I think everyone should read at some point - or at the very least, watch the movie.
I Will Teach You to Be Rich- This is a great book for anyone who may struggle with finances or if they seem daunting in any way. It is basic enough for it to be an easy read and for anyone to follow, but covers the knowledge you need. This one is another great book for a recent grad.

Big Magic- I highly suggest any creative read this book!
Emotional Intelligence- I am a big believer that just about everything in life boils down to one's emotional intelligence: their career, their relationships... everything.
Work Clean- If you like cooking, personal development or tidy things, this is a great book based all around Mise en Place.
Designing Your Life- This book really rang home to me. Design a life you love... it is really that simple.

Bringing Up Bebe- I am not a mom yet except to a delightful fur baby but I love the concept of French parenting. The American style of martyrdom among other things is not for me and I really enjoyed this book's perspective and will utilize it when the time comes.
The Little French Bistro- This one I thought was interesting and so out of character for me, but I ended up loving it and following this woman's journey to overhaul her life at 60-something.

The Magnolia Story- When Chip and Jo came out with books, my awesome MIL mailed them to us as I loved them! They're a good reminder of where they came from and that everyone has a starting point.
Little Fires Everywhere- This book seemed to be the talk of the spring this year. I actually liked it even though it's fiction and it's based in a Cleveland suburb (maybe that's why I liked it. I wont lie though, I kind of hated the end.
Where'd You Go, Bernadette? - I read this on a whim and it's fiction as well. It was a bit hard to read based on the writing style, but it kept my interest.
Grit- This book was quite repetitive at the end so I'd say read most and you'll get the point.
Option B/Lean In- To me, if you work in a corporate environment whatsoever, these are a must.

What's Next on My List:
Grace Not Perfection
French Kids Eat Everything
How to Win Friends & Influence People
Ego is the Enemy
My Life in France
How Women Get Sh*t Done
I would love to hear what some of everyone else's favorite are too!
