Our Wedding in Paris
Let's just start by saying May was the best month ever! As most know, we got engaged last June in Paris - it was a surprise Eiffel Tower proposal with a photographer and was a dream in every way. There is a whole post on that here. We started wedding planning and realized that it was So. Much. Work. So many details and time and cost that it was a bit overwhelming to be honest. Fun and celebratory certainly, but it just wasn't our style so we opted for a tiny destination wedding in Paris. What better place?

Dustin and I thought about a few different scenarios and options but ultimately decided on the Westin Paris Vendome hotel for our ceremony, reception and as our place to stay. It was perfect! They were so easy to work with, the food was phenomenal and it was the prettiest room of marble and architectural details, which is all right up my alley if you know me at all ha! We chose the room we wanted, chose the menu and the date and it was basically a done deal. Easy peasy and it was perfect to us - even went above and beyond our expectations. We worked with our photographer from our engagement shoot, Christian of Paris for Two, and he was fantastic again (he shot all the images below).
We would highly recommend both our photographer and our venue (or even as a hotel alone)! Our ceremony and reception room was the Jardin D'hiver and we took our photos in both our suite (Eiffel Tower Jr Suite) and the Imperial Room, which just happened to be open that evening. My bouquet was peonies that we bought from a street vendor the night before, I did my hair and makeup and my dress was by Essences of Australia.

Cheers to you my love. No one else I could imagine this life with and our day could not have been more perfect!
