Paris in May
As you guys know, we went back to Paris last month to get married! After getting engaged there, it just seemed like the thing to do. There will be a whole post about our wedding headed your way soon, but I wanted to create one about the trip, too! I know these are out of order, honeymoon, paris, wedding but we've been traveling and I needed to have our professional pictures come back before being able to do a wedding post! Since we decided to have a tiny wedding, I wanted to share these with everyone who was not able to make it!
For this trip, we stayed at our wedding venue, which was the Westin Paris Vendome. We LOVED it. They were extremely helpful, kind and our room was amazing. We chose the Jr Suite with Eiffel Tower Views and it was better than we even had hoped! Neither of us had ever been there before so we were hoping for the best and it did not disappoint.

The entrance had the prettiest chandelier!

The suite had a whole living area that we weren't even expecting!

These gorgeous built-ins were in our bedroom part of the suite.

This was our view at night from the huge open windows.

This was the stunning view from the couch where I watched the Eiffel Tower sparkle at every chance - my dream view to be honest!

The hotel just so happened to be off the Rue de Rivoli and the block next to my all-time favorite, Angelina! We came here after we got engaged to have a peaceful breakfast before we told anyone the news so it was great to be back.

The best hot chocolate in the world.

Other nearby favorites I had to visit:

Macarons from Laduree!

Pastries in the Jardin de Tuileries, which was across the street from the hotel and what our balcony overlooked.

Crepes at L'Imperial!

And of course... Onion Soup at the same cafe

My favorite little book store aside from Shakespeare & Co. is this one: Librarie Galignani

Le Meurice is next door and is stunning

We also were across from the Louvre.

We walked through the Jardin de Tuileries to get to Musee l'Orangerie.

& saw this Jackson Pollock painting that I am now in love with.

& Monet's Water Lillies!

I love buying art of the street there to create gallery walls at home.

and I had to stock up on some favorites that are sold at the pharmacies there for much less than here.

We wandered Saint-Germain for man happy hours and didn't get to stop here but will next time!

We had to take our family on a night time Seine River Cruise because let's be honest, it's the best.

Our view from the room at sunrise! Such an incredible suite and time spent at the Westin Paris Vendome.
Not pictured, but we also had incredible ramen at Kodawari Ramen in Saint-Germain! Next up will be our wedding so stay tuned.
