Mexico Honeymoon Recap

We're back and married! After having our small destination wedding in Paris (more about that later once our professional pictures come back!), we headed off to Mexico for our honeymoon.

After much debate of where to honeymoon - should we stay in France or go elsewhere in Europe or to an island we've never been - we decided to go to one of our favorite places: Cancun, Mexico! We go there every year and usually stay at Secrets the Vine, which I highly recommend, but we wanted to stay somewhere new and even ~fancier~ since it was for our honeymoon so we chose Le Blanc Spa Resort.

You guys... it did NOT disappoint. Hands down the best all-inclusive I've ever been to. It is actually ranked #1 in Mexico and #2 in the entire world so... it lived up to the hype. It was clean, comfortable and the food was amazing.

Not much beats the turquoise waters on the beaches of Cancun. They had a few infinity pools overlooking them, tons of chairs and umbrellas brought over for you on the beach or at the pool, food and drink service, a swim up bar and these views!

It is a spa resort but unfortunately we did not have a spa day, which I am now regretting so I guess we'll just have to go back! We booked the Honeymoon Suite because duh! and it was great as well. They really pull out all the stops with champagne, nightly chocolates, fresh flowers, rose petals, a jacuzzi tub in your room facing the balcony and ocean even!

Now we've got to talk about the food. The all-inclusives I've been to have been really hit or miss on food but Le Blanc had GREAT food.

The first night, tried their French restaurant, which is the only one that requires reservations. Having just been in France 2 days prior, we had somewhat low expectations to be honest but it was SO GOOD. It was the best escargot I have ever had. I'm not a huge fan of having to make reservations at these places because I like to be free to eat all day HA! This was well worth it though.

The following night we had the Italian and again - it was delicious and I think we ordered 6 things and had some of the best tiramisu ever.

They also had pool-side food, an open terrace for pizza and breakfast and a huge buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner that had the prettiest desserts I have ever seen!

The hotel sits between the ocean and the lagoon pending where your room is, you can face either and look at both while on the grounds. There is also nightly entertainment, a gym, lobby events and resort credits that you can use for other activities - we chose to have the Romantic Beach Dinner, which was incredible. Our own private cabana with service and a 6-course meal on the beach at sunset!

We loved our stay at Le Blanc and they just opened a new location in Los Cabos - can't wait to go back and celebrate again! Also, this isn't sponsored at all - we paid for it all and I just loved it and wanted to share! So if you're looking for a relaxing beach honeymoon, this one might be for you!
