Current Skincare Routine

Let me start out by saying I am excessive and have been a skincare nut for 15 years+ sooo read this knowing I'm a bit crazy and really passionate about skincare! You likely don't need ALL of these products and there are probably some more cost-effective options that work well too.

That said, this is my current routine broken down into AM and PM and what I've found that works well for me! This is my favorite topic so I'm happy to answer any questions!

MORNING:

If it's a lazy morning, I'll use Caudalie Micellar Water on a cotton round to clean my face. If it's a good morning, I'll start with Tula Purifying Cleanser. Then apply Caudalie SOS Serum and dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift cream. Next up is a vitamin C oil - currently testing Skinceauticals C D Ferulic oil and I don't love it despite everyone else raving about it. It smells like hotdogs and I am not exaggerating! I'll likely keep up with the Farsali Gold Elixir instead. I finish off by one of the moisturizing Caudlie products and Seophora Lip Balm. I've been using this Vivitar Beauty Bar and I talked all about it in my last Favorite Things post.

Steps in order:

1. Tula Purifying Cleanser (or Caudalie Micellar Water) *Exfoliate 2-3x weekly

2. Caudalie SOS Thirst Quenching Serum

3. Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift

4. Hydrating Oil (currently testing Skinceuticals C E Ferulic & Farsali 24K Gold Elixir)

5. Moisturizer (switching between Caudalie Moisture Sorbet and Caudalie Anti-Wrinkle & Glow Serum)

6. Sephora Lip Balm in Almond or Rose

7. Vivitar T-Bar Facial Stimulator

PM Skincare Routine

EVENING:

This is my favorite part of the day; I love my night time wind down routine. Where I start depends on if I have on makeup (and how much). If it's a full face, I'll use the cleansing balm and oil. If there i sno eye makeup, I'll use the wipes. If it's none, I'll dive right in with the Tula wash. From there, I'll use the resurfacing gel on a cotton round and the pat 5 drops of detox oil on. This smells kind of earthy but it's so good I don't mind. To lock in moisture, I'll use the Tula Kefir serum next and finish off my skincare with a Caudlie eye cream. For deep lip hydration, I sleep with the Laneige lip sleep mask on. I've been using the Neulash Lash Serum for nourishment and growth!

Steps in order:

1. Makeup Removal (Simple Micellar Wipes & Caudalie Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil OR yes to cucumbers Cleansing Balm)

2. Tula Purifying Cleanser

3. Tula Pro-glycolic Resurfacing Gel

4. Caudalie Overnight Detox Oil

5. Tula Kefir Moisture Repair Pressed Serum (or Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum)

6. Caudalie Resveratrol Eye Lifting Balm

7. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

8. Neulash Lash Serum (I only do 2x a week although 7 is recommended)

Dermaroll with Stacked Skincare micro-roller (I haven't lately but used to and am going to start again). This is the affordable option compared to the GlowPro, which I have not tried (yet).

Alternates:

I use a Clarisonic Mia 2 and the Caudalie Deep Cleansing Exfoliator a few times a week in the morning instead of Tula Cleanser for exfoliation.

If I have a pimple, I will sleep with a dab of Mario Badescu's Drying Lotion on it. If my lips feel dry, I'll use the French Girl Rose Lip Polish before the sleeping mask.

MASKS:

I love trying new masks and have many favorites but I like to stick to 3 main themes: detoxifying, hydrating and treatments. I'll do a mask post-face wash and before any of the other potions and serums!

Caudalie Detox Mask

Caudalie Hydration Mask

Mario Badescu Collagen Mask

My favorite beauty treatment of all are collagen eye patches - the ones from Wilma Schumann and Earth Therapeutics are my current favorites to help tired eyes.

EXTRAS:

*I sleep on a silk pillowcase. This is a newer thing for me and I've always heard they're so much nicer for your hair and skin for less frizz, breakage and wrinkles. There are pricier brands such as Slip, but I wasn't sure I'd love it so I tried this one from amazon. It's great quality and I am absolutely loving it so far!

*Always protect your skin from the sun. I used to tan as a teenager and never think about the sun, but it is SO bad for you. Wear hats and sunscreen and if you need to be tan, use a self-tanner like St. Tropez Mousse or a spray tan! i do all of the above now. I still don't wear daily sunblock but I work remotely with no commute and am realistically not outside much PLUS my CC Cream by IT Cosmetics is SPF 50. Add a layer under makeup if your makeup does not contain any! I love COOLA and Supergoop sunscreens.

*Don't forget your neck! No point in taking great care of your face skin and having a turkey neck LOL so bring those products all the way down to your decolletage.

*Always try to apply products in an upward motion and do it in a gentle manner.

I hope you love this as much as I enjoyed writing it. Let me know what some of your favorites are or if you try any of these.

XO
