January Birchbox Review

February 17, 2018

It's that time again, y'all. It feels like I have a nonstop arrival of Birchboxes but I guess time flies. Here's the scoop on the products in this month's box!

Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream -  I LOVE this product! I have actually received it before and was so excited I got it again! In sixty-some boxes, I've never had repeated products and this time I got one that was slightly smaller than before. It is a styling cream and leaves my hair shiny, soft and smelling fantastic. It is made to act as a leave-in conditioner for coarser, thicker hair. The full-size is pricey but... oh well, it's all a about balance.

Air Repair Complexion Boosting Moisturizing- I love that this product is meant for people who travel by plane often! Air travel is brutal on skin and this is meant to be a rejuvenating face cream. It still works if you have stress or dry weather. It has hyaluronic acid so it plumps the skin. I can't decide if I love or hate the smell, but it's a light cream and goes on silky smooth.

Smashbox Cosmetics Always on Matte Liquid Lipstick in Driver's Seat- This is the perfect matte rust color! I was surprised how much I liked it. It's very hydrating and is smooth as butter. I don't love the brush applicator, and it isn't smudge-proof but it's better than 90% of lippies I've tried and isn't sticky whatsoever.

Bioderma Sebium Pore Refiner- This may be the answer to all my hopes and dreams since I have large pores! It is a corrective cream that tightens the pores and refines skin texture. it has a fresh cucumber scent that I thought was great! It seemed to make a bit of a difference, but I think it needs regular use to see the full benefits.

The Beauty Crop Espresso Yourself Eyeshadow Palette-  To be honest, I am really not picky about eyeshadow. My go to is an Urban Decay Naked Palette, which is pretty basic. I do use other random ones from time to time, but as long as it's pigmented enough to show up, I really have no other qualifications to liking it or not. This one was nice though and it was the perfect little trio for travel as it had a highlight color (vanilla latte), blending color (french roast) and define and line shade (midnight blend). Super cute that they're coffee-themed and the 2 lighter shades have shimmer.
