October & November Birchbox Review
To be honest, after 61 Birchboxes, I am tired and have been slacking on this! This month's post is a double for both October and November's boxes.
Avene Hydrance Light Hydrating Emulsion- This is just a basic moisturizer that is really light-weight. I think it's nice if you don't need much - or maybe for summer. As far as French drugstore brands, you all know Caudalie is my favorite. This is similar.
Lavanila Fragrance- This fragrance should be used more as an essential oil. It truly smells like lavender and vanilla and would be used nicely as a stress reliever. I would not use it as a perfume though.
OUAI Rose Hair & Body Oil- It's obvious i loved this because it was rose! It smelled great, worked nicely on my hair and was pretty light-weight. My only compliant about this is the bottle leaked! It seems to be a common issue with any oils I ever use.
Lipstick Queen Lip Liner in Nude - I love a nude lip liner. It is really all I use. i think this was a darker nude but overall it was fine. It seemed similar to my NYX and MAC ones I use.
The Beauty Crop Liquid Highlighter- So I usually use a powder highlighter, Prosecco Pop (Champagne Pop's more gold-toned sister), but I decided to use a few drops of this liquid first and then layer my powder over it and it was AMAZING. Seriously - do it.
This November box was bare basics but I loved the little bath bomb it included. I have never gotten one of those before so it was fun and different!
Beauty Protector Shampoo & Conditioner- I have never tried a beauty protector product that I didn't like and this was no different. It just smells so good and leaves my hair feeling nice. I am in the market for a new shampoo and conditioner and this may be the one. (other go to brands are Oribe, Kerastase, OGX & Bumble)/
Vasante BrightenUP! Moisturizer- This one is hard to judge - I have been using tons of serums lately to enhance glow and moisturize so when I layered this under makeup, I was indeed glowy but not sure where to give credit. It was light though and I layered Caudalie's SOS Thirst Quench Serum over it.
Lord & Berry Brow Pencil in Brunette - I am the pickiest brow pencil person ever and truly only like ABH's pencil. I have to say, this one was a pretty close second and that is saying a lot. It went on smooth and was a bit off for me color wise.
Level Naturals Lemon Coconut Bath Bomb- This was so fun to have in my box! i have never gotten anything like this so I was really excited. It was also a combo of 2 of my favorite scents. Overall, I likey! They come in a 6-pack like an egg carton and are reasonably priced.
These were from Influenster this month. I am always in need of a good heat protector, so I think this is a good drug store brand option if you're looking for a budget-friendly product or one you can find anywhere. The shine spray worked well also (my hair is dark so it's always fairly shiny though)!
