From time to time I get boxes of free goodies from Influenster to try and review. If you haven't heard of it, it is a community of social influencers who get products sent to them (for free) to try and review with their honest opinion. This "Posh Vox Box" was full of goodies I tested out and have given my honest thoughts below!
AQUIS Lisse Luxe Hair Towel in Chevron Luxe - I am known for using hair turbans after I shower and have for probably 12 years! I LOVE them because my hair is long, thick and will truly take more than 24 hours to air dry if left to fend for itself. This was the product I was most excited for and I really do like it. It is more gentle on hair than other materials, it's cute and it really is absorbent so your hair will try in less time! Only one negative I have is that there is no loop to secure it... you just have to settle for the age-old wrap method and hope it stays on your head!
Ouidad Advanced Climate Control Defrizzing Shampoo & Conditioner - So this was rated with pretty high reviews, and I didn't like it very much at all! Maybe it's my hair, but it didn't seem to make any different in regard to frizz and I didn't really like how it smelled either, which is obviously the most important part of shampoos and why you smell 25 before you choose one, right?
Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift - Dermalogica is a cult-favorite brand that I swear everyone on earth is using except me ... until this product! I had a crappy under eye serum with roller that I had just thrown out prior to receiving this, so it was perfect timing. It has a metal tip that is cool for de-puffing your under eyes (I used this in the mornings). It is a gel/cream formula made to wake up your eyes, minimize dark circles and puffiness. Overall, it definitely worked and my under-eyes did look better, BUT it wasn't a permanent solution; you have to use it every morning to have that lift. Bonus tip: store it in the fridge for an extra refreshing treat.
Julep Boost Your Radiance Reparative Rosehip Seed Facial Oil - Rosehip is supposed to be phenominal for skin, and I am just getting into oils; I have always been mentally trained that oil=breakouts, but as i am approaching a ripe old age, I am looking for more "radiant" skin and this particular one prevents and repairs fine lines and hyper-pigmentation while regulating the oil your skin produces. The more hydrated it is, the less oily it will be. It has a cute eyedropper and smells incredible. I definitely like it and think it does a good job. Roll it on and use a jade roller before bed or put a few drops on your Beauty Blender before foundation!
Sigma Beauty Aura Powder (in nymphaea) & F40 Contour Brush - This was super exciting, and I loved having this duo come together as the perfect pair. The F40 Large Angled Contour Brush is soft, fluffy and great! The blush doesn't contain parabens, casein or phthalates, which is great. It was a pretty good color for me and it went on smooth. I've got to admit, I am not the best judge of blush as that's the makeup item I treasure least and am not terribly picky about - sorry, blush lovers! I do wear it when I do a full face and usually wear Becca or Cargo but will add this to the line up.
LASHFOOD BROWFOOD Aqua Brow Powder + Pencil Duo - I had never heard of this brand before, so that was exciting because I feel like that is rare these days. However, I was not a big fan. I like that the duo is convenient, and it is supposed to have nourishing properties, but the powder is just not for me. I prefer pencils or maybe a dip powder on occasion, but this is somewhat hard to use and messy - I don't think it emulated natural brow hairs enough and I wouldn't suggest it for newbies (eyebrows can be scary, I know). Again, it had pretty high 4+ star reviews, so maybe I am just too loyal to Anastasia Beverly Hills.
I received these items complimentary of Influenster for testing purposes.
