May Favorites - Beauty & Fragrance

Since I am forever trying new products and lusting after new things, I decided I am going to start writing monthly roundups of my favorite items from the previous month! The theme will change every month for various categories of home, jewelry, shoes, clothes, beauty etc. May's theme is beauty products and fragrances, so below are my current favorites:

May Beauty Favorites

Caudalie Grape Water: At this point, I qualify as being full-on obsessed with this brand for skincare. This grape water is perfect for spritzing throughout the day if your skins starts feeling dry. I've been traveling with it since planes are so dehydrating and it works great.

TOCCA Hand Cream: This hand cream is compact and perfect for handbags, travel or your nightstand. I absolutely hate the feeling of lotion on my hands (I even wipe it off after applying it on my body) but this is 1 of 2 that I'll actually use on my hands (Caudalie is the other one - duh!). It's light and smells fantastic and is kept in my nightstand. Bianca and Giulietta are my faves.

Hard Candy Eye Palette: Don't get me wrong, I still live and die by my Urban Decay Naked Palette, but I love this one as a more affordable alternative - $54 vs $6 for this eye shadow palette! It's super cute with its studded details and the shadows are still pigmented and smooth.

Urban Decay All Nighter: I finally jumped on the setting spray bandwagon and fell in love. I'm not sure what took me so long as my makeup staying in place has always been an issue, but I finally tried this and it really is worth it.

Urban Decay Concealer: Up until this point, I have switched between a Lancome under eye concealer and a NYX one - liking both but not completely loving them. I tried this one after listening to Jaclyn Hill talk about it and I like it the best of the 3. This is also the foundation I use so I'm apparently pretty into Urban Decay this month!

Kat Von D Lips: Normally, I don't use Kat Von D, but I have been on the hunt for long-wear lip liner and matte liquid lipstick. I rarely even wear color on my lips, but I wanted a super dark color, so I got everlasting liner in Homegirl and lipstick in Damned - I wanted it to be nearly black and they are and they definitely last!

Dr Jart+ Ceramidin Lipair: I've been on an organic beauty product bender trying to find new things and replace current products with healthier ones BUT I ended up being allergic to the Dr. Bronner toothpaste I tried, and this was the only lip balm that seemed to bring my lips back to life after they were really dehydrated and sad! PS it was the Stevia Leaf extract in it that I'm allergic too, and I figured it out by comparing it to the EOS lip balm because it has the same effect and I know a lot of people have issues with that product!

Since I have spent a lot of time in Paris lately, I have been way more into perfume. It's of the utmost importance and everyone smells so good here! (I am writing this while here, looking at the Eiffel Tower out my window). That said, I've been putting it on even when I am lounging around, and here are a few recent faves:

Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Temptation Spray - good for every day/ lounging/ the gym etc.

Burberry My Burberry - I wear this on nights out

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire - Dustin brought this back for me on his first trip to Paris!

Tory Burch - Good daytime scent

Philosophy Amazing Grace - an oldie but goodie that's a tried and true favorite for many. I stole my mom's and wear it mostly around the house because it's just so fresh.

Lastly, i haven't purchased this one yet so it's not pictured, but I received a sample in a Birchbox and LOVE it: Juliette has a Gun - Not A Perfume - weird name, great scent!
