July Birchbox Review

This week is like Christmas getting my birchbox and it being the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! (which I posted about here). I wasn't over-the-moon excited about my box this month, but I was excited about one product in particular and always want to share my thoughts in case they are products you're contemplating purchasing!
CLEAN Air Eau de Parfum: According to its description, it is crisp with notes of mountain air, lush green accords and freesia. I would describe it as light and fresh - its name CLEAN is accurate. I probably wouldn't use it as my signature scent, but I think it is nice for after you get out of the shower or even as a room spray!
Clinique City Block Purifying Charcoal Cleansing Gel: This is a detoxifying gel with charcoal so it is black in color, which can be strange if you aren't used to using charcoal products. This is the product I was excited to try! Charcoal is great for cleansing pores of dirt, oil and makeup and draws out impurities.
Marcelle Xtension Plus Curl Mascara: So this was not one of the mascaras I tried during my mascarathon, (which I wrote about here) and I was excited to test out another new one. This is hypoallergenic and has a curved brush, so it's meant to extend and curl. Verdict is, I like it but I won't replace my usual go-to. However, it reminded me a lot of the Benefit RollerLash Curling Mascara but it is $10 cheaper! So, if that is one of your favorites, I strongly suggest testing this out for $14 instead of $24.
MDSoarSciences Daily Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 30: This is an interesting product because it has both anti-aging properties and skin protection. It reduces look of wrinkles while hydrating and protecting with SPF. I am not sure how much it truly works in regard to anti-aging, but it always good to multitask issues.
PARLOR by Jeff Chastain Moisturizing & Repairing Shampoo: I cannot even explain how good this smells. It is fresh and clean and smells like vacation to me and I am obsessed! (seriously, it smells identical to the heavenly resort I stayed at in Mexico in February). It's sulfate-free and I liked it, but I go through shampoo like crazy and it is $22, so if you don't wash your hair daily or have shorter hair, this may be perfect for you.
The more I think about this box, the more it makes sense for the month of July while in the swing of summer! With a light fresh shampoo and Parfum you can stay fresh in the heat. The SPF and cleanser are perfect for hot summer days as well.
