April Birchbox Review
It's the best time of the month again! I received my April Birchbox, and I have to say, it was one of my favorites to date. I tested the products so you don't have to! I absolutely love RIFLE PAPER Co so I was extra excited that they collaborated on this month's box - making the outside as pretty and perfect as the inside. I also received a 20% off note from them, which is a cherry on top.
amika Touchable Hairspray: There is a reason this is on the website with a 4.5 star rating. It smells fantastic and it is now one of my favorite hair sprays! I usually use their bombshell blow out spray and really like their dry shampoo as well (linked to older posts). This is flexible so it moves and doesn't create crunchy pieces. It is also supposed to combat frizz and protect against humidity, which is key for me to find in a hairspray. I highly recommend.
TOCCA Creama de Mano - Hand Cream in Giulietta: TOCCA is hands down my favorite hand cream (along with Caudalie). I am really opposed to the feeling of lotions and oils on my hands, but I still use this in times of need. It's light and smells wonderful. I received the Giulietta Pink Tulip and Green Apple scent, which is currently sold out with a wait list. I also have the Bianca Green Tea and Lemon scent - both are delightful. They are perfect to carry in your hand bag or carry-on or leave at your bedside.
derma e Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask: I had been wanted to try a charcoal mask, so I was really excited to receive it. It is supposed to exfoliate, detoxify and purge pores in 5 minutes, which I can get on board with. I can't say I noticed a huge difference right away, but I have only tried it once and use a variety of masks, serums and exfoliating products daily so it's very hard to tell which is doing what. I did like that it was quick and that it contained charcoal.
The Beauty Brop PBJ Smoothie Stick in Guava Nice Day: This was new for me as I had never heard of this brand or product before. It's a super-moisturizing stick with Sweet Almond Oil, so it glides on smooth and doesn't dry out your lips. It had a nice flavor, too! The shade I received wouldn't have been my first choice (I am more of a nude lip kind of gal), but if I had it in a lighter shade, it would be a great go-to for day wear!
rms beauty the ultimate makeup remover wipes: I am huge on buying organic food and have been looking into switching up my skin products to head in that direction as well. I am thrilled that these aren't packed with chemicals and they're made with pure coconut oil and are 100% eco-friendly. I use coconut oil for oil pulling and have been a little apprehensive to try it on my face, but now I am sold. Coconut oil is also known for removing stubborn makeup, and I can't tell you how much time I spend rubbing my eye makeup off (and probably creating more fine lines that I'm also concerned with). It's a little pricey, but probably worth it if you can spare the expense.
